to private practice, I work at Aurora Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, CA. I
have worked as the Primary Therapist for the Partial Hospitalization Program,
and currently serve as a therapist in the Intensive Outpatient Program. As
such, it is my privilege to work with, support and help a wide variety of
people from all walks of life, facing challenges including severe depression,
anxiety, low self-esteem, less effective communication skills and difficulty
I attended Antioch University Los Angeles, where I received my masters degree in clinical psychology. To attain licensure, we are required to do 3,000 hours of training; due to wanting to have a diverse work experience, I actually accumulated just over 5,000 hours, working in multiple placements including a community clinic; locked in-patient psychiatric facilities; multiple hospital settings; and a program to help at-risk youth using animal-assisted therapy (including a king snake, chinchilla, rabbit and skink!).
Currently my private practice is open to adults 21 years and older.
Every day is different for me, and every day presents a new challenge. For me, that's the creativity of this profession! Your problems are unique, as are your solutions. I look forward to help you find your unique way forward.
